The Chukotka Autonomous Okrug received new ambulances, the Chukotka news agency reports on August 28.
On the basis of the Sobol GAZ-2217 vehicle, new ambulances were assembled. The cars have high permeability and are equipped with medical equipment, including a defibrillator and an electrocardiograph.
Acting Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov said on his Telegram channel that the vehicles are in Anadyr and will soon be distributed to district hospitals.
Until the end of the year, seven more ambulances will be delivered to the region: four UAZ-3962 Loaf and three UAZ-1288 Profi. These cars were also purchased from the federal budget.
In 2021, a large-scale modernization of vehicles was carried out in Chukotka: six UAZ ambulances were purchased within the framework of the regional modernization program. There are currently 68 ambulances in the region’s health system.
Recall that the draft regional programs for the modernization of primary health care presented by the constituent entities of the Russian Federation provide for the purchase of 19,080 vehicles, 88,006 medical equipment, major repairs and construction of 10,784 establishments.
The program mainly provides for ensuring the availability of medical care for residents of small settlements and remote areas.
In addition to improving and updating the material and technical base of primary health care, the issue of staffing remains important. To solve it, a set of measures is planned to eliminate the shortage of personnel.
