Russia intercepted another drone approaching Moscow this Friday, said the mayor of the Russian capital, who said the day before that new air defense systems are being installed jointly with the Defense Ministry.
“Today, the air defense forces near Lyubertsy prevented another attempt to launch a drone towards Moscow. There are no casualties or preliminary damage. Emergency services are working on the spot,” Sergei Sobyanin said in the Telegram messenger.
Moscow airport resumed operations from 7:28 a.m. after restrictions related to drone strikes, the state news agency TASS reported, citing the airport.
Drone attacks on Moscow have become almost daily in recent weeks.
