Portugal’s João Felix and João Cancelo were called up this Saturday by FC Barcelona coach Xavi for the Spanish champions’ visit to Osasuna on Sunday for a Spanish Football League match.
The day after they were hired and on the day they were officially introduced, two Portugal players entered the squad and could make their debut in the fourth round of La Liga, scheduled for 20:00.
In addition to the new Portuguese addition on loan from Atlético Madrid and Manchester City, centre-back Iñigo Martínez, who has recovered from injury, and goalkeeper Iñaki Peña could also play for the Catalan emblem for the first time after the move.
Brazil’s Rafinha also returns to the “Chosen” squad after two games of suspension, while Pedri and Ronald Araujo remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Barça remain among the runners-up in the Spanish league with seven points, two short of leaders Real Madrid with nine points in three games, with Osasuna just behind with six.
