He added that the action under the “Promove Transporte” program, which aims to increase accessibility in rural areas, “will benefit the entire southern region of Nampula province” by ensuring the flow of local agricultural and fishery products at home and abroad. in addition to “increasing the great tourism potential” of the region.
In July last year, the European Union approved a contract to finance the rehabilitation of roads in the provinces of Nampula and Zambezia with a total value of 102.9 million euros.
