The Kremlin said this Wednesday that the Patriot anti-aircraft systems that the US will send to Ukraine after months of indecision will become legitimate targets for the Russian military.
“Absolutely,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a daily news conference when asked if he supported statements by Russian Security Council deputy chairman Dmitry Medvedev, who said in late November that “Patriots would “immediately become a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces.”
However, Peskov noted that he is currently refraining from further comments due to the fact that at the moment the possibility of supplying the US Patriot anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine is only disclosed by various media, without official confirmation from Washington. .
