Spanish striker Ivan Jaime won this Thursday the Best Young Player award from the last edition of the Portuguese Football League of the season that brought him from Famalicão to Porto.
In the 2022/2023 League One championship, Ivan Jaime was in the spotlight when he represented the Famalicans, scoring nine goals and three assists, earning him an award determined by the votes of the coaches and captains.
“First of all, thanks to everyone who voted for me. Thank you to my family, my father, mother, sister, girlfriend and of course thank you to all my former teammates and technical staff, without them this would not have been possible,” said the 22-year-old in his acceptance speech.
This Thursday, Alfandega do Porto hosted the Liga Portugal Awards for the first time, honoring the most outstanding people in Portuguese football last year.
