The “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia pledged to support the newly elected President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Samvel Shahramanyan, according to a statement issued on September 9.
The Armenia party bloc congratulated Shahramanyan on his election to the position of President of the Republic of Artsakh. “Today it is inexpressibly responsible, difficult and at the same time obligatory to assume the position of President of Artsakh in conditions of self-determination, formation of a state and the need to confront the external enemy and resolve internal problems with honor.””, he noted in the statement.
Representatives of the bloc expressed confidence that the new president will be able to ensure the full functioning of the Republic of Artsakh in the difficult task of defending its rights.
“We assure you that our faction will continue to stand on the side of the Republic of Artsakh and the Armenians of Artsakh with all the responsibility it has assumed, will fully support the authorities of Artsakh and you in the struggle to overcome this difficult stage and return to the world of Artsakh a peaceful and prosperous life”– emphasized in the statement of the Armenian bloc.
