Nine passengers were injured after an Air China jet engine caught fire on Sunday, sending smoke billowing into the plane’s cabin, according to the city-state’s airport.
An Airbus A320 carrying 146 passengers and nine crew made an emergency landing at around 4:15 pm on Sunday (9:15 am in Lisbon), Changi Airport said in a Facebook post.
The flight took off from Chengdu, the capital of China’s Sichuan province.
