A truck heading from the airport in the French capital towards the company’s headquarters was diverted in the wrong direction, the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing said on social networks.
“50 Balmain items were stolen. Our delivery has been redirected. The truck was stolen. Thank God the driver is okay. So many people worked hard to make this collection possible. We’re redoing everything, but it’s disrespectful,” Oliver said.
“Please be careful, this is the world we live in. “I love you, my Balmain team, and we will not give up,” the creative director warned.
According to Reuters, a Balmain spokesman confirmed that the Paris show would go ahead, but declined to comment on the robbery pending an investigation.
