In a statement, GNR said that under Operation ECR 2023 Road Passenger Transport, it will carry out inspection activities that will focus on vehicle performance modifications and transformations, as well as daily and weekly driving times, breaks and rest periods. and weekly.
The military guard will also monitor “the instantaneous speeds of the vehicle recorded by the control device during the last 24 hours, maximum, of the use of the vehicle, and the operation of the control device (tachograph).”
The operation is carried out within the Euro Contrôle Route (ECR), a group of the European Transport Inspectorate whose aim is to improve road safety and sustainability, fair competition and working conditions in road transport.
As part of the operation, GNR, which is partnering with ECR, will develop “testing activities to encourage the adoption of safer behavior by professional drivers to improve road safety.”
