In a statement published this Wednesday, the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Porto Region states that the man was charged by prosecutors with two crimes of attempted murder and one crime of possession of a prohibited weapon. The events took place on March 11 at the Granada nightclub in Porto.
Just like CM reportedAt 4:50 am, the 46-year-old man went to the club located on Rua da Alegria. But right at the door he was not allowed to enter, which led to a conflict that involved three other men.
After being disrespectful, the defendant quickly approached the vehicle and grabbed a firearm. According to the indictment, “while walking towards the establishment, he fired the first shot at the door” of the club, “intending and managing to hit one of the offenders in the neck area.”
Once inside the premises, he shot another man in the leg. The victims had to undergo treatment at the San Juan hospital.
As a result, the shooter was detained by police officers at the scene of the incident. Authorities also detained a friend of the accused.
The suspect is awaiting trial under house arrest.
