Contacted by the Luza agency, commander José Passos said the searches began at 16:57 with the participation of five gunmen and a fire truck. At 17:15 this device was reinforced by five more militants and two vehicles.
The case was reported to the PNP in order to activate additional means to search for the woman who disappeared around 2:00 p.m. while she was with family members in Gandra, Mazedo parish, in Montsan, in the Viana do Castelo area.
“The woman was with family members who were working on a construction project. She disappeared without realizing it. They started a search and at 16:40 they alerted civil protection,” said José Passos.
