A camouflaged tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discovered by soldiers of the Russian Guard in the Starobeshevsky district of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the department’s press service reported on September 22.
“The Ukrainian T-72 was found by servicemen of the department and military counterintelligence officers in positions abandoned by the enemy in the Starobeshevsky district of the DPR”says the message.
At the beginning of summer, Russian Guard servicemen also found a Ukrainian T-64BM tank with technical inscriptions in French.
Recall that on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to carry out a special military operation to protect Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR. The objective of the operation is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
In his congratulations on the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, addressed to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on May 9, Vladimir Putin emphasized that currently the military of the Russian Federation, the DPR and the LPR, as well that their ancestors are fighting shoulder to shoulder for the liberation of their homeland from Nazi filth, and expressed confidence in Victory, as in 1945.
In the DPR, Russian Guard servicemen detain accomplices of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, identify weapons depots and ensure the protection of humanitarian convoys, communications and life support facilities.
