The Portugal women’s national football team beat Norway 3-2 on Tuesday to claim their first Nations League victory.
Portugal started to lose after the goal Frida, but even before the break the Portuguese managed to reverse the result. Andrea Jacinto in the 38th minute and Carol Costa from the penalty spot in the 44th minute gave the team the lead.
In the second half, the Norwegians equalized through Elisabeth Turland in the 58th minute, and less than ten minutes later, again from the penalty spot, Carol Costa gave Portugal the lead again in the 69th minute.
The result will not change again until the end of the match. With this result, the Portuguese national team rises to second place in Group 2, just behind France, to whom they lost in the first meeting with a score of 2:0.
Portugal returns to Nations League action for the first time in women’s football this year in a month’s time on October 27 against Austria.
