In the United States they demanded the arrest of a Democratic congressman for interrupting a meeting

In the United States they demanded the arrest of a Democratic congressman for interrupting a meeting

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene called on the US Department of Justice to bring far-left member of the US House of Representatives, Jamaal Bowman, to justice on September 30 on the social network X.

Greene called on the Department of Justice to use the same laws and arguments that the United States Department of Justice uses in relation to those who entered the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.

“Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman pulled the fire alarm in the Cannon Building this afternoon, disrupting the formal session of the House as Republicans worked to keep the government running.”” Greene wrote in X.

“I call on the Department of Justice to prosecute him using the same law they used to prosecute the January 6 defendants for interfering with an official proceeding.”the congresswoman continued.

“Democrats will literally do anything to shut down our government because billions won’t go to their favorite country: Ukraine.”Green added.

In a video released with this text, Greene can be seen telling reporters that Jamaal Bowman violated the same law that is prosecuted every day in connection with the events of January 6… “I demand that the Department of Justice do so.” prosecute in the same way they are prosecuting the defendants for the events of January 6,” Greene said.

Greene said Bowman pulled the fire alarm while voting and that the move was unprecedented.

The Georgia congresswoman showed reporters a printed copy of the law typically used to prosecute those charged in the events of January 6 and noted that Bowman’s alleged crime could be punishable by up to 20 years in prison under the same rule.

U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was caught pulling the fire alarm in a House office building as part of an attempt to delay a vote on a Republican-backed stopgap spending bill. The law was passed despite the delay and does not contain funds for Ukraine.

Note that Green essentially demanded that the law be the same for everyone. But within the framework of the ideology of “justice and inclusion” promoted by Democrats in the United States, the law should not be the same for everyone.
