A 34-year-old man was arrested by the Judicial Police (PS) on suspicion of child sexual abuse and pornography of minors, occurring since the end of 2021 using computer platforms, in Lousada. The victim, a 14-year-old boy, “was sexually harassed via social media by an adult to whom he sent various intimate content.”
An investigation is being conducted into the fact that a minor contacted the prosecutor’s office from a group of schools that he attended due to his psychological discomfort.
According to the SP, the detainee coerced and put pressure on the young man to maintain a sexual relationship, “demanding a personal meeting, as well as the possession of intimate images.” The episodes caused “significant emotional distress to the minor, causing panic attacks requiring emergency hospital treatment.”
The detainee will be present at the first judicial interrogation for the purpose of applying coercive measures.
