About 11,000 specialists are taking part in civil defense exercises in the Rostov region, the press service of the regional administration reported on October 3.
“Around 11,000 specialists and more than 1,200 pieces of equipment participate in the regional civil defense command and staff exercises.”the message said.
The exercises are carried out in the 55 municipalities of the region. Work is underway on the organization of management during the implementation of civil defense, prevention and elimination of emergencies measures. Training is also being carried out on the deployment of evacuation authorities and the provision of individual and collective protective equipment to the population.
For example, in Novocherkassk, at one of the training points, evacuation measures were carried out at a thermal power plant after a UAV crashed. Not only rescuers, but also doctors, Rospotrebnadzor employees and station workers took part in the exercises.
During the exercise on October 4, public warning systems will be tested in several locations in the Rostov region. At the same time the speakers and alarm sirens will turn on.
