This Thursday, the European Court of Auditors noted inconsistencies in the financial support program for Ukraine presented by the European Commission, namely the lack of additional guarantees and audit rights that allow transparent monitoring of the entire process.
According to a report by the European Court of Auditors (European TdC), published this Thursday, there are inconsistencies in the “Ukraine Fund”, a program announced at the end of June, with legislation that will regulate financial assistance to help Ukraine recover and meet pre-entry requirements to the European Union (EU).
European TdC believes that the European Commission should “clarify transparency requirements for funding beneficiaries, while ensuring that Brussels is notified of any exceptions.”
