Floyd Mayweather, widely regarded as one of the best boxers in history, announced Tuesday that he would send his private jet, as well as “food and other supplies, including body armor,” to Israel.
The private jet will be loaded with supplies and set off for the Middle East this week, Los Angeles Magazine reports. The flight crew includes several U.S. military veterans.
“[O Hamas] This is a terrorist group that attacks innocent people. I hope for the safe return of all Americans and Israelis who were kidnapped as a result of these horrific war crimes,” he shared on social media.
The fighter, who retired undefeated – and with 50 victories – visited Israel in November and wrote that Hamas does not represent the Palestinians. “Now is not the time for politics. This is a time for safety first and foremost. God bless the United States, Israel and humanity,” he concluded.
