At least one journalist was killed and three others were injured in an explosion carried out by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, where violence has increased since last Sunday.
The “rockets” fell at the end of the day in the sector where a group of journalists from at least three different media outlets was located, in the border village of Alma al-Shaab.
The fatal victim was Issam Abdallah, an image reporter for Reuters.
“We are urgently seeking additional information, working with regional authorities and supporting Issam’s family and colleagues,” the news agency said.
Two of the journalists injured when their car was hit were a correspondent and a reporter for Al Jazeera, the network said, naming them Carmen Bahindar and Eli Brachia respectively.
