Jewish New York City councilwoman Inna Vernikova was arrested this Friday for carrying a weapon during a pro-Palestinian demonstration.
After this news came out, there were several calls for the dismissal of Inna Vernikova.
Inna Vernikova, 39, was seen this Thursday “with a firearm” while monitoring a protest from noon to 2:45 pm on Thursday, local police said. New York Post.
“If you stand next to protesters shouting “Palestine will be free” while innocent women and babies are raped, murdered and beheaded, you are a Hamas supporter and apologist who would like to bring terror and rid the world of the Jewish people. We will never be silent. We stand with Israel,” the adviser wrote in a Twitter post.
The woman, who had a license to carry a weapon, was later released on payment of a fine.
