UFC star Conor McGregor will not face sexual assault charges following an alleged incident during an NBA Finals game in Miami in June.
“The State Attorney’s Office will not be filing any charges and the case will be closed,” Miami police said in a statement sent to ESPN.
According to TMZ SportProsecutors determined there was insufficient evidence to support the allegation that McGregor assaulted a woman in an arena restroom following the Heat’s Game 4 loss to the Denver Nuggets on June 9.
According to the woman, McGregor spat on her and himself in an attempt to arouse himself. McGregor, 35, immediately denied the allegations.
“On behalf of my client, family and fans, we’re glad it’s over,” attorney Barbara Llanes said. TMZ Sports.
McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his ankle against Dustin Poirie in July.
