The 27th EU-US summit will bring together the presidents of the United States, the European Council and the European Commission on Friday in Washington to discuss an agenda dominated by the situation in the Middle East, as well as assistance to Ukraine.
This is the second summit, which brings together the three current presidents: Joe Biden (USA), Charles Michel (European Council) and Ursula von der Leyen (European Commission), and the delegations include the heads of diplomatic departments of the respective countries, Antony Blinken, for the US and Josep Borrell from the EU.
Analyzing the conflict between Hamas and Israel, as well as identifying everything that can be done to prevent its spread in the region, has been a priority topic on the meeting’s agenda since October 7, the day the Islamist terrorist group launched an attack on Israel that has since reacted harshly.
