A new procedure for the military registration of recruits was introduced by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Taras Melnichuk, government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, said on December 31, according to Ukrainian media.
“A new procedure for the organization and maintenance of military records of conscripts, conscripts and reservists is approved”, said the politician.
According to Melnichuk, at the moment the military registration and enlistment offices do not have exact lists of conscripts and reservists, which makes general mobilization difficult. According to the politician, the new rules, introduced in accordance with the proposals of the National Agency for the Civil Service of Ukraine and the State Statistics Service, will help territorial centers to keep military records more efficiently.
Recall that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine extended martial law in the country until February 19, 2023. During this period, men from 18 to 60 years old are not allowed to leave the country.
