Five people were injured in clashes between fans of Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, who face each other in the Champions League on Tuesday, in an early morning incident in Istanbul.
According to local press reports, fans threw tables and bottles, forcing police to break up the clashes, which involved a group of about 70 Germans and 30 Turks.
The wounded, four of whom were Germans, were taken to hospital and then to hotels.
Galatasaray, the team of Sergio Oliveira, and Bayern, owned by Raphael Guerreiro, will meet on Tuesday at 19:45 local time (17:45 Lisbon time) in Istanbul in the match of the third round of Group A of the Champions League.
The group is topped by Munich with six points, followed by Galatasaray with four, Copenhagen with Diogo Goncalves with one and Manchester United with Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot in fourth and final place, still without points. . .
