Police in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, are investigating the alleged rape of a security officer who accuses an army corporal of raping her at the city’s largest Portuguese expat club.
According to the complaint, which has already been formalized, the crime was committed on a Saturday afternoon. The applicant, 24 years old, and the alleged rapist, 25 years old, were assigned to provide security during the last election campaign events in the area of Buenos Aires.
A police officer says she was forcibly groped and kissed by a soldier who followed her into a Portuguese club.
The alleged victim claims that she was saved by a colleague who helped her bring the case to her superiors.
The Portuguese club, located in the Caballito district of Buenos Aires, has been in existence for 104 years. Initiatives of the Portuguese and Argentine communities are implemented here, as well as shows of fado and other styles of national music and art are organized.
