The Caspian Sea is the core of the “North-South” international transport corridor (ITC), said the president of the “North-South” club, former president of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdulatiipov, on October 25 at the opening of the international forum Astrakhan. “ICT North – South – New concept”, reports a correspondent IA Krasnaya Vesna
“The core is located precisely in the Caspian Sea… moreover, in the Caspian-Volga region”says Abdulatipov.
At the same time, he recalled that the North-South CTI unites the gigantic territories of several states and provides enormous economic opportunities. And Russia is a country that can use its territorial capabilities to form this trade route.
It should be noted that on October 25, the Astrakhan International Forum “MTK North – South – New Concept” began its work. More than 150 companies from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, as well as Belarus, Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and other countries announced their intention to participate in it. Diplomats, businessmen, heads of government agencies and chambers of commerce and industry, shipping and logistics companies and universities will participate in the event.
The forum will close on October 26.
