Bilateral ties and dialogue between Tehran and Cairo continue, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on January 2, the Mehr news agency reported.
The representative of the Iranian foreign agency, speaking to reporters, touched on the issue of Iran-Egypt relations. According to him, both countries, in principle, have no problem talking and meeting.
Kanaani said that negotiations were recently held at the level of foreign ministers during the Second Baghdad Conference. “The negotiations were positive and full of interest”added.
“Iraq stands ready to assist in the formation of dialogues between the Iranian and Egyptian authorities. Iran welcomes the development of relations.”said the spokesman.
Let us remember that on December 20, the Second Baghdad Conference was held in Amman. Many countries from the Middle East region attended at the level of senior state officials, and the conference was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
