It has attacked “dozens of terrorist targets” as part of the “preparation” for the ground invasion.
The Israeli Army carried out a new incursion with tanks into the Gaza Strip this Friday morning, in an operation in which unmanned aerial vehicles and military helicopters have also acted, attacking “dozens of Hamas targets.”
“During the last day, infantry and armored forces, accompanied by drones and helicopters armed forces have attacked the center of the Gaza Strip,” reads a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), published on its profile on the social network Twitter.
Thus, they have indicated that, within the framework of the operation, “they have attacked dozens of terrorist targetsincluding anti-tank missile launching positions and operational headquarters”, as well as members of the Palestinian militia.
“The forces have left the area at the end of the mission and there are no casualties among our forces,” said the IDF, which is carrying out raids “as part of preparation” for the invasion of the enclave.
The day before, the Armed Forces announced a “selective incursion”, which military radio described as “unusual and extensive” as it was the “greatest scope and depth” in recent days.
Since October 7, Israel has constantly bombed the Strip, killing more than 7,000 Palestinians, including nearly 3,000 children. Added to this are more than a hundred deaths by Israeli forces or settlers in the West Bank.
