Tampa Mayor Jane Castor says “the problem is not a lack of police, but easy access to guns.”
“Once again, a meaningless life is lost because of those who chose to settle a dispute with firearms. Lives have been lost and others changed forever. This is not a law enforcement problem. Poor split-second decisions and the proliferation of readily available weapons are responsible for these almost daily incidents,” he adds.
The scene of the shooting was quiet Sunday morning, with several businesses open as agents sealed off the area.
