FIFA has sentenced Luis Rubiales to three years of banning “any activity related to football” over a controversial kiss between the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and striker Jennifer Hermoso.
The decision is based on a file opened by the Disciplinary Committee of the body that oversees world football. The body said in a statement that the former manager “violated Article 13 of the disciplinary code.” FIFA clarifies that Rubiales has already been notified of the decision and can appeal to the Appeal Committee.
