A woman died this Thursday in Madrid after she was hit by a falling tree due to bad weather, which also led to the cancellation of dozens of flights and train services in Spain, local authorities said.
According to emergency services in Samour, the death was a 23-year-old woman who was hit by a tree that fell on a pedestrian crossing on a street in the center of Madrid.
Bad weather, especially wind, has also caused the cancellation of dozens of flights and train services in central and northern Spain, as well as the closure of eight parks in Madrid.

The cause of the bad weather was the Ciarán storm, which hit several European countries.
