In the early hours of November 1, the victim was attacked by his ex-partner with a sharp weapon and suffered several injuries. She was taken to the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve, where she was hospitalized.
The aggression was interrupted only by the owner of the house, a friend of the couple, who, having broken down the bedroom door, managed to help the victim and fight off the attacker. The suspect escaped, but a few hours later he surrendered to the police.
The detainee had already been sent by the authorities for domestic violence. He will be present at the judicial interrogation for the purpose of applying coercive measures.
