Third Israeli attack on refugee camp in 48 hours

The Jabaliya refugee camp was again the target of an Israeli airstrike this Thursday. Third in less than 48 hours. As a result, dozens of people were killed and hundreds were injured. As a result of the first two explosions, about 200 people died, and a hundred went missing among the rubble.

Despite the humanitarian catastrophe, Israel has defended itself and said the target was the tunnels in which Hamas radicals were hiding and that the Islamic group was responsible for the collateral damage. The second commander will be shot down.

The UN warns that “disproportionate attacks” on a refugee camp “could constitute war crimes.” The US president is calling for a humanitarian “pause” in the war, while British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres are warning of the urgent need to increase aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The appeals come after another night of intense fighting between the Israeli military and Hamas. Doctors Without Borders reports more than 20,000 wounded in Gaza, “with limited access to medical care due to constant bombing” [do exército israelita]” 3,760 children and 2,326 women have already died.
