A 40-year-old woman was arrested by the Judicial Police (PJ) this Friday in Ladueiro, municipality of Idanha a Nova, on serious suspicion of committing the crime of qualified murder in the attempt on her partner. 47 years old.
The events took place on Thursday afternoon at the couple’s family home and in the context of domestic violence. The woman stabbed the victim with a knife approximately 20 cm long, which pierced his abdomen, causing a ruptured liver and significant blood loss.
A friend of the couple was in the house, who helped the man and prevented the death of the victim. The man underwent emergency surgery at the Castelo Branco hospital.
The detainee will be brought to the judicial authorities for the first judicial interrogation.
