A fan who went into cardiac arrest before the start of the Valencia-Cádiz match in the Spanish Football League this Friday died shortly after being transferred to a hospital center, the Valencian club said.
The 53-year-old man was treated by Cadiz medical staff, after which he was transferred to a hospital near the Mestalla stadium.
In a social media post, Valencia regrets the “sad news of the passing of a Valencian follower” and expresses condolences to family and friends.
The match of the 16th round of the championship of Spain, which ended with the victory of Cadiz with a score of 1: 0, began 10 minutes late due to the help of a fan.
