Albanians attacked a Serb in Kosovo, Vecherniye Novosti reported on January 7.
An 18-year-old Serb boy was attacked by Albanians as he was returning home from a Christmas service in south-east Kosovo. The guy was hit.
Let us remember that the head of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, demanded that the Serbs remove all the barricades in the north of the region. The reason for the construction of barricades was the arrest of a Serbian policeman, Dejan Pantic. Traffic was blocked in several settlements near the checkpoint.
Employees of the NATO-sponsored International Mission in Kosovo and Metohija (KFOR) and the EU Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) arrived at the barricades.
Aleksandar Vucic previously said that Kosovo’s leader, Albin Kurti, “decided to attack the Serbs.” According to Vučić, it was at the suggestion of Kurti, who recently came to power in Kosovo, that the incidents against the Serbs began. Since March 2021, their number has increased by 50%, Vučić said.
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said Belgrade is on standby to protect Serbs in Kosovo amid Kurti’s threat of violence.
