With the Poles at a numerical disadvantage from the 12th minute due to Rakovitan’s sending off, the Lions won with a double from Pedro Gonzávez with scores of 14 and 52, both on penalties, with Rundić (71) reduced in favor of Rakov.
Sporting now have seven points, three behind leaders Atalanta, who have already secured a place in the play-offs, and three more than Sturm Graz, while Rakov is just one point behind.
