Starting at the beginning of next year, teachers in the Trans-Baikal region will receive, in addition to their salaries, bonuses for managing classes. This was announced by the press service of the Legislative Assembly of the Trans-Baikal Territory on November 10.
For these purposes, 167 million rubles will be allocated, said Vera Antropova, head of the Ministry of Finance of Transbaikalia.
The department also stated that employees of educational institutions will receive incentive bonuses for part-time work.
It should be noted that lately the issue of a shortage of teachers in schools has been actively discussed in society. One of the main reasons for this was extremely low wages. The basic salary of teachers in the regions is so low that they are forced to accept a double salary and other additional workloads.
All of this overloads teachers, destroys the quality of the educational process and causes professional burnout. As a result, teachers are leaving schools in droves.
Parent organizations are extremely outraged by the current situation. For example, the president of the public organization “All-Russian Parental Resistance” calledThe situation with teachers’ salaries is “shameful.” The organization stated that to correct the situation in Russia it is necessary to legislatively approve a basic living wage.
