A new containerless hunting cartridge with a cloud of shot, made from domestic components, will be produced in a batch of one million units, the press service of the Rostec company reported on November 10.
The company has reportedly developed a new containerless Igla bior cartridge with a more “unloaded” shot cloud. The cartridge is designed for hunting from a distance of up to 25 m and contains larger shot than conventional container cartridges.
According to the industrial director of Rostec’s conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemicals complex, Bekhan Ozdoev, the new cartridge is being certified for mass production. The volume of the first batch of new cartridges is planned to be 1 million units.
Please note that containerless cartridges do not contain wad, which allows for better formation of a cloud of shot.
Let us remember that Western sanctions imposed after the start of a special military operation prevent the supply of imported classic ammunition without containers.
