The Court of Appeal of Porto (TPC) has rejected a request to relieve the judge of the criminal investigation in the Vortex case, who asked to be removed from the case because she knew one of the main defendants.
The TRP ruling, dated Wednesday, which Luza read this Thursday, rejected the incident as unfounded and, as a consequence, rejected the request for acquittal by Judge Isabel Ramos, who admitted that she knew the defendant Francisco Pessegueiro and was with him at social events. with his sisters, brothers-in-law and other mutual friends.
In addition to this situation, the judge indicated another argument to be excluded from the case, which is related to the fact that, as part of Operation Babylon, she interrogated and placed in preventive detention Paulo Malafaya, who is also a defendant in the Vortex case.
