Six men, aged between 17 and 31, were arrested by the National Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Judicial Police (NP) on suspicion of kidnapping, kidnapping, very serious bodily harm (torture) and even attempted murder. All suspects were caught on the south bank of the Tagus.

Authorities say the victims were kidnapped, brutally assaulted and threatened with a gun. One of them was held captive for 23 days and subjected to extremely brutal physical attacks.
During the police investigation, drugs and firearms were seized.
The six detainees present in court were placed in a pre-trial detention center.
