New York director Anna Martemucci reportedly accused actor Nuno Lopez of drugging and raping her after an event at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Daily mail.
Anna Martemucci claims she had just graduated from film school and was at a friend’s premiere party when the actor and DJ drugged her and drove her to an apartment.
The director’s lawsuit was filed in New York on Monday, just three days before the deadline for filing claims under the state’s Adult Survivor Act.
The screenwriter explains that after being raped, she had to take HIV medication, which led to post-traumatic stress disorder when her memories began to return.
“We cannot accept a world in which the perpetrators of heinous and inhumane behavior can live openly, with impunity and without social consequences, while the victims suffer in silence,” the director said while presenting the case in New York.
In his statement, the actor explained that while he values his privacy and personal life, he wanted to “come before the public to clarify and tell the truth about this story” and says he has a “perfectly clear conscience” .
The newspaper also reports that Martemucci didn’t remember much about that night, but he did remember the actor holding her legs and “raping her from the front as she drifted in and out of consciousness.”
