The Israeli Council of Ministers approved this Wednesday an agreement for the release of 50 hostages kidnapped in the Gaza Strip during the October 7 attack, most of them women and children, in groups of 12-13 per day, in exchange for a temporary ceasefire. Times of Israel.
All members of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s executive branch voted in favor of the exchange and truce, with the exception of three ministers from the far-right Jewish Power Party (Otzma Yehudit) and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Israel also agreed to allow the supply of additional fuel to Gaza, as well as humanitarian aid.
