India has resumed issuing e-visas to Canadians, CBC reports Nov. 23, citing anonymous sources.
This was previously reported by AFP, also citing an official who did not want to reveal his name because he was not authorized to speak to journalists.
The visa suspension follows a diplomatic row after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Indian authorities of being involved in the murder of Canadian Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
India also demanded that Canada reduce its diplomatic corps in India, but Ottawa said it would resort to negotiations to avoid the expulsion of diplomats.
Earlier, India eased restrictions and resumed issuing entry, business, medical and conference visas for Canadian citizens.
