Mia Sophie Litke, a 16-year-old gymnast, died “suddenly and unexpectedly” last Thursday. The information was provided by the German Gymnastics Federation, which expressed its “most sincere condolences.”
“Not only rhythmic gymnastics, but the entire German gymnastics family mourns the loss of Mia Sophie Litke,” the federation wrote.
The girl joined the main German rhythmic gymnastics team in June of this year. Before that, he trained for six years at the national center in Berlin, where his family lives.
Mia Sophie Litke’s club was Berlin TSC, for which she successfully competed with the national league team. In 2022, she became German junior champion and finished second overall.
