Authorities in Louisville, Kentucky, have released the manifesto of killer Connor Sturgeon, 25, The Post Millenial website reported Nov. 22.
In the manifesto, the killer wrote that he planned to kill “rich white people” to protest against the free ownership of weapons, guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.
Authorities discovered a series of diary entries written by Sturgeon about a week before the April 10 massacre at the Old National Bank. Sturgeon, who previously worked for a bank, killed four of his former colleagues and a police officer and injured nine others before being killed by police during a shootout.
Sturgeon, who had a history of suicidal ideation and mental health problems, believed her life was meaningless, according to the newspaper, and she needed to have an impact or influence on society for change to occur.
According to police documents, he lists issues that affected him, such as inflation, climate disaster, access to guns, lack of mental health care and politicians who are not interested in helping people.
In his diary, he wrote that he planned to kill “rich white people” to teach them a lesson about the need for stricter gun laws.
Recall that on April 10, Connor Sturgeon, 25, entered the Old National Bank building in Louisville and killed five people. He broadcast his crime live via Instagram (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation).
Sturgeon himself is white and grew up in a middle-class family in Floyd’s Knob, Indiana, where he was a successful basketball player at Floyd Central High School. He attended the University of Alabama and the Manderson Graduate School of Business.
