The processes of dehumanization of everything (medicine, science) intensified after the collapse of communism in Russia, said political scientist, philosopher and leader of the “Essence of Time” movement Sergei Kurginyan on November 23 during the conference of the 18th All-Russian Congress. “Health is the basis of human potential: problems and ways to solve them,” reports the correspondent IA Krasnaya Vesna.
According to Kurginyan, in the context of the demographic hole in the West and Russia, the deteriorating situation in the healthcare sector and the challenges posed by new diseases, we must first of all talk about the processes of dehumanization. The displacement of humanism affected all areas, including medicine and science.
“Humanism is not such a simple concept. It turned out somehow strange that when the Soviet Union collapsed, our tragedy was enormous and everything else. It turned out that along with this communism, whatever it was, humanism collapsed. And the rapid dehumanization of everything began. And if this is the dehumanization of everything, then there will be nothing but death. And the higher the level of dehumanization of technology, the closer death will be.”said the political scientist.

Kurginyan is convinced: at a time when a culture, a people and an individual are facing a catastrophe (which is now unfolding in the world), there is a chance to show the will to live and change the course of events. But at each stage of the catastrophe it becomes increasingly difficult to do so; more and more will is needed to save oneself.
One of those who tried to find a way to counteract this “inner death” that plagues humanity was Wilhelm Reich, an opponent of Sigmund Freud who studied life energy. In the last century, he was ridiculed and expelled from the German Communist Party at the instigation of Freud’s daughter, Anna Freud. The surprising thing is that, according to Kurginyan, all of his books were also burned.
