A witness called by Ivo Lucas speaks in court

A friend of Ivo Lucas is now speaking in court. He calls Ivo “an extremely empathetic person” and “very humane.”

“It had a huge impact on Ivo’s life, before Ivo’s eyes started shining, he was happy, in love, at a great stage in his life,” he says.

Ivo’s friend adds that “it’s very difficult to explain” when he saw Ivo being transferred from the hospital. He recalls that their friendship has lasted for 15 years, and states that he still sees “a lot of pain” in Ivo.

Cristina Branco makes a request

Defendant Cristina Branco requested clinical information from her therapist confirming that she had difficulty talking about facts and that she had amnesia regarding part of the incident. The judge says he is allowing the statement to be added to the case file because it is relevant to the trial.

The accused begin to arrive at the Santarem court

Defendants Paulo Neves and Ivo Lucas have already arrived at the Santarem court.

Paulo Neves arrived silently and did not want to answer journalists’ questions. It was a driver who was driving at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour.
