Cargo exports from Far Eastern ports by rail to Uzbekistan have increased by 43.5% since the beginning of 2023 compared to the same period last year, the press service of the Vladivostok Sea Commercial Port reported on November 24. .
It is reported that the head of the board of directors of the Russian transport company FESCO, Andrei Severilov, held negotiations with the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia, Botirjon Asadov, and discussed with him the prospects for further cooperation. It is reported that during the negotiations the parties also discussed the launch of a container train on the Moscow – Tashkent and Tashkent – Moscow route.
“Since the beginning of this year, the Vladivostok sea trade port has shipped 43.5% more to Tashkent than last year”– said Severilov.
Severilov clarified that 35% of all container port transportation from the Far East is carried out by FESCO.
Severilov noted that Uzbekistan supplies its products to world markets mainly through Far Eastern ports. This route is also the main one for the import of foreign products to the republic.
The head of the board of directors also recalled the opening in October 2022 of the FESCO TURAN subsidiary in the capital of Uzbekistan.
